| Sue moved to Sheldon in 1976 with Carl. Their children Sarah and Simon have grown up at Sheldon and live locally. Sarah's family, including children Charlotte and Sam, are regular visitors. Simon works as Dartmoor Ranger and his "patch" includes the Teign Valley. |
| Sue has been manager of the Sheldon shop through its different locations around the site. It is now permanently located in the Reception, which has enabled her to expand its range and make it a more integrated part of the Centre. Sue has recently taken over running the Fat Pigeon bar, and also looks after ordering food from local suppliers. |

| Sue's private passions are jigsaws, novels, and knitting soft toys. |
