The Community’s housekeeping team is looking for an extra person to join us in delivering the high standard of domestic provision expected at Sheldon.
We would like someone who is energetic, thorough and methodical, good at routine tasks and takes a pride in doing mundane jobs really well. We work as a team so are looking for someone who enjoys working alongside, and gets on well with, other people. Jobs include the full range of domestic tasks – cleaning, cooking, washing up, doing the laundry, making beds, cleaning windows and dusting (it’s not a role for the faint hearted and you won't need to go to the gym to keep fit if you work with us).
Full “on the job” training will be given, adaptability being more valuable than experience. There is scope for developing a range of skills, including cooking and gardening (we grow fruit and vegetables to feed ourselves and our guests) and the option of involvement in our simple pattern of liturgy. |

| Applicants may be considered for a longer term commitment to Community life, or for a short term (3 months minimum) "Time for God" experience.(Newsletter article from previous volunteer). Accommodation and food is provided, and a modest allowance. |
