| Deborah lives at Whiddon Down on Dartmoor. She is married with 2 children and has worked 4 days a week on Sheldon's Housekeeping team since 2004. Our main changeover days are Sundays, Mondays and Fridays when we often have just a few hours between one group leaving and another group arriving. Deborah is involved in running the cleaning team to make sure everything is clean, in the right place, and ready on time. She hates spiders so you'll be unlikely to find one in your room! |
| Her role also includes preparing Linhay Lodges for guests - cleaning and stocking the larder. When we are running our own programme events she helps Jan with cooking for guests in the Pound House kitchen. Deborah is also a dab hand at producing chutneys and jams, cakes and puddings for sale from "Martha's Kitchen". |
| One of her main hobbies is Line Dancing, which she teaches in local groups and has also run a few dances at Sheldon. For such events she comes complete with 600cc Yamaha, cowboy hat and boots, and tassled leather jacket. Her favourite charity is CLIC Sargent, raising money to support children in the South West with cancer or leukaemia. . |
