John McGahey works two days a week at Sheldon keeping the grass, woodlands and gardens in good order. You can see his farm across the valley from Sheldon. John's legal career included many years with the Crown Prosecution Service and overseas, he drives an eclectic range of vintage cars, and also works at the local racecourse.

Simon Lee was born at Sheldon and grew up here. He now works full time as a Dartmoor National Park Ranger and his "patch" includes the Teign Valley (although Sheldon itself is just outside the DNP). Having recently completed his degree, he also enjoys helping out with practical work around the site and in the theatre. He loves the great outdoors, wildlife and 4WDs.
Thomas Partridge also lives just across the valley, when he is not in Warwick studying for his degree in Politics. He is an enthusiastic cricketer with a mean off-spin, likes dogs, fishing and drinking Sheldon tea. He is social secretary to the University Poker Society, enjoys Franz Ferdinand and doing the Western Morning News crossword, and WLTM Andrew Marr.
Rom Dobbs lives in Christow with his partner and young son. He works on the Sheldon grounds and maintenance one day a week. For the previous 20 years he worked in the music, as a drummer and repairer of guitars. He enjoys high adrenaline sports including mountain biking on Dartmoor, and celebrated turning 40 by having a go at mountain boarding.
