TRUSTEES OF THE SOCIETY

Ann Buxton was appointed a Trustee in November 2004. She lived alongside the Community and joined the Housekeeping team for a year in 2002/3. She worked as a GP for many years in the Exeter area, and is now retired and living in Exeter.

Val Hawkins works as a classroom assistant in Exeter, and lives in Lympstone with her husband who recently retired as the bishop of Crediton. Val has been a Trustee of the Society since 1993 and has lived, worked and raised a family in Devon.

John Perry was a founder Trustee of the Society in 1987. He has recently retired from a lifetime of parish ministry, and lives with his wife near Plymouth. He was elected Chair of Trustees in March 2005.
Jean Smith was elected as a Trustee in November 2004. She lives in Wiltshire, and regularly contributes to Sheldon as a hospitality volunteer.
Roy Walford has been a Trustee since 1993, and recently retired as Chair of Trustees after 10 years of service. He lives in Sussex, and he and his wife Norma regularly serve as hospitality and workparty volunteers at Sheldon. He has worked as a doctor in Pakistan, the NHS and hospices.
Jonathan Williams was appointed as a trustee in 2003. He is a parish priest Newport where he lives with his wife and daughters. Jonathan first came to Sheldon for 6 months on a Christian Service Scheme in the early 1980s and has been an enthusiastic Friend ever since.
