The first Sheldon Prom from Scratch in 2008 was part of the celebrations of the Society of Mary and Martha's 21st birthday. It was such a great success that we just had to run it again! Who would have thought that an 80-strong amateur scratch choir could put on such a fantasticaly accomplished and moving performance after just 3 hours of rehearsal. Sadly the camcorder battery ran out before the end, and the on-camera mic didn't do justice to their sound, but the video clip (large)does capture a little of the special atmosphere of the Sheldon Open Air Theatre on a great community night.
To encourage even more people to join the audience this year (yes, plenty of audience participation too) we've reduced the ticket price. Bring your friends for a great night out.
