This year's Prom from Scratch performed by an 80-strong local scratch choir will again be tutored and conducted by Roy Nicholson. Roy is a veteran conductor of scratch performances and is a member of the Sing for Pleasure movement and a former member of the BBC Symphony Chorus. This is his third and final year conducting the Sheldon Prom from Scratch, so don't miss it . . . . . and bring your friends for a great night out!

Our 2010 programme includes the following:

The Heavens are Telling from Haydn’s Creation
Panis Angelicus by Franck
Humming Chorus from Puccini’s Madame Butterfly
Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah
Medley from Les Miserables (Schonberg arr. Lojeski)~ I dreamed a dream
~ Do you hear the people sing ~ Bring him home ~ Finale
Alleluia from Mozart’s Exultate Jubilate

The second half will include classic “Last Night” repertoire that needs no introduction, including Land of Hope and Glory, Sea Songs, Rule Britannia and Jerusalem.
