Sheldon is home to Devon's oldest open air theatre

Work started in a muddy hollow and bracken-covered hillside in 1977.
The labour of many hundreds of volunteers has transformed it into a magical setting seating up to 500 people for
  • concerts
  • worship
  • community plays
  • other theatre performances
The theatre is fully equipped with digitally controlled sound and light
The theatre is staffed by the Sheldon team and local volunteers
You can expect a professional performance in an intimate and unique setting. 2009 concerts. Feedback.
In 2008 we paved the stage and bought a star stage awning which makes it much safer to ensure the show can go on even if the weather isn't so kind. We have also built a wheelchair access deck with the best seats in the house at the top of the auditorium.
Visit our famous burger bar for tasty hot barbecue food and a selection of drinks.
