RESIDENTIAL GROUPS  
Ideal group size = 20 - 40, also very suitable for smaller groups, or up to 50 in summer

Each building is self-contained, and the various buildings can be reserved in any combination.

The Pound House

  • 17th century thatched cow byre and cider-making barn
  • modern facilities and traditional character
  • large sunny lean-to dining room opens onto terrace and lawn
  • two meeting rooms with comfy chairs
  • superb kitchen (cater up to 50 people)
  • 5 en-suite twin bedrooms
  • 1 en-suite single bedroom
  • possible space for extra floor mattresses
  • downstairs toilets and showers (suit large groups with campers)
  • full central heating throughout

The Long Barn
  • Modern building opened in 2011
  • 8 en-suite twin/double bedrooms
  • 1 en-suite single bedroom
  • possible space for extra floor mattresses
  • 2 large and light main rooms with selection of comfy chairs, lecture chairs, tables, etc
  • main rooms linked/separated by conservatory
  • large sun-trap terrace facing south west
  • fully equipped professional kitchen
  • smaller kitchenette for snacks and drinks
  • full disabled access throughout the ground floor
  • utility room for washing and drying

Long Barn

The Pig Pens (for people) - Berkshire, Gloucester and Tamworth
  • Single storey range of former pigsties
  • twin beds
  • attractively furnished
  • table, 2 table chairs, 2 comfy chairs
  • en-suite shower and toilet
  • Berkshire & Gloucester only: sleeping deck for 2 up ladder
  • Tamworth only: additional adaptations for wheelchair users

Note: Pig Pens may also be booked independently for private retreats

 
Camping
There is no independent camping at Sheldon
Groups staying in one or both of the main buildings may bring tents for extra guests, up to agreed maximum numbers.
Tents may only be pitched in the Camping Field or on the grass above the Long Barn.
Downstairs toilets and showers are suitable for use by camping guests
