These are some of the things we will need to discuss with you
  • The dates and length of stay (3 nights to 6 weeks)
  • How many people (Lodges are suitable for one or two)
  • Eligibility (Lodges are for people in ministry)
  • Self-catering or with your larder stocked
  • "DIY" space or with one to one time and/or massage
  • Check the environment will suit you - time completely alone is heaven for some people and hell for others
  • Check your physical and emotional health - we may ask your permission to speak with your GP if you are unwell

To allow time for cleaning and preparation of Lodges, arrivals after 3pm, departures by 10am.
To provide resources for planned breaks and for emergencies, one Lodge can be booked up to a year in advance, two Lodges can be booked up to 8 weeks in advance, and one Lodge is reserved until 2 - 3 weeks ahead.

Larder stock
If you don't want the trouble of shopping and cooking, let us pamper you with a comprehensively stocked larder.
We will provide a tasty selection of ready meals from the freezer (most of them home-cooked at Sheldon), plus bread and milk, fruit and vegetables, snacks and treats.
You heat up your meals in the microwave or on the hob whenever it suits you.

One to one time

One to one / listening ear time must be booked in advance.

Our expertise comes from several decades of experience at Sheldon, plus broad-based trainings in spiritual, psychological and physical approaches to health and wellbeing. We have a good understanding of the nature and dangers of ministry, and what working for the church can be like.
We have a light-touch approach and respect your autonomy and dignity. We will offer advice if requested, or create space in which you can explore in your own way at your own pace. Our job is to be a resource to you, give you the tools you need, and keep you in the driving seat.
Use us if you want to chew the fat with someone who is off your home patch and doesn’t have a vested interest in the choices you make.
Please remember that Sheldon does NOT provide

psychiatric or nursing care
marital or psychoanalytical therapy
laying on of hands or prayer ministry
