PIG PENS FOR PRIVATE RETREATS
Send this page to a friend
The new Pig Pens opened at Easter 2006 and are open to everyone for private retreats. They have replaced the old Chalets.
(Linhay Lodges are exclusively for people in ministry).
Guests need to be physically and emotionally fit enough to benefit from time alone without one to one input.

The Pig Pens are self-contained units, each with
  • bed-sitting room (twin beds, table, 2 table chairs, 2 upholstered chairs)
  • small kitchen (sink, fridge, electric hob, microwave, basic crockery, cutlery and utensils)
  • en-suite bath and shower
The Berkshire Pen and Gloucester Pen each have a sleeping deck with ladder access, suitable to sleep two (small) people.
The Tamworth Pen has extra adaptations for guests who use a wheelchair.
Pig Pens are comfortably furnished and centrally heated. Guests may be self-catering or have their larder stocked. They are designed to have easy access for guests with mobility difficulties. West facing with lovely views across the Teign Valley, and a little planted sitting area outside.
The following items are included for private retreatants (but not when Pig Pens are let as part of a self-catering group booking)
  • bed linen and towel
  • toilet rolls, teatowels, starter pack of drinks
  • TV
