Some History
Back in 1976 there was just a muddy pond at the bottom of a bracken-covered hillside. Members of the Sheldon Community and local volunteers put the stream into a culvert, built up the stage, dug paths and terraces, built walls and buried electrical and multicore cables. The first performance was held in 1978 and over the years thousands of people have gathered for concerts, plays, musicals, worship and more. In 2005 - 8 further major works were carried out to create an access deck for disabled guests, to pave and drain the stage, and provide an all-weather stage awning.
