Thresholds - a conversation with uncertainty

Led by Mark Godson

Inspired by the poets and timeless wisdom of the borderlands of his home, Mark will share a conversation with the uncertainty we encounter at threshold moments. We enter into silence so that dogma and certainty may dissolve in the embrace, flow and wonder of God.

A silent retreat.

Everything else is optional.

Each day there will be a talk; sharing the liturgy of the Sheldon community; and opportunities for individual time with Mark.

Mark Godson lives and works in the shadow of the Black Mountains on the Welsh/English border as a rural community priest. After thirty years labouring in parishes, mental health chaplaincy and psychotherapy, Mark welcomes the stability, hospitality and exploration of this ‘one good place’. His life is enriched by a clutch of human companions; offering spiritual direction; engaging with Simon Parke in the tasks of The Mind Clinic; and wandering with his labradors Meredith and Seren.

This event is open to everyone.
